  • BOTANICALLY DYED
    Violette silks are hand dyed in small batches using botanical ingredients and traditional techniques – sustainably crafted with flowers, leaves, roots, nuts and berries. Subtle variations and organic markings often occur as a result of the natural dye process. This is to be expected, and in our opinion is what makes them so beautiful. Each piece tells it’s own story, capturing and preserving a memory of seasons past. Even though we use the same colour recipes, no two batches are ever exactly the same. Our palette is always evolving – ebbing and flowing with the seasons – a melody of natural hues. Over time you can expect subtle shifts in colour. This is the nature of botanical dyes and is part of their magic.

    Violette silk goods are hand crafted in small batches from our cottage studio and dye flower garden on Tamborine Mountain in Queensland, Australia.
